Next destination: Lashio
The Roadies are on the road in Northern Shan State this week. They arrived in Lashio last night and will explore the area in the coming days for the 5th episode of Doh Pyay Doh Myay.
General info on Lashio:
Lashio (Burmese: လားရှိုးမြို့, Shan: လႃႈသဵဝ်ႈ) is the largest town in northern Shan State, about 200 kilometres (120 mi) northeast of Mandalay. It is situated on a low mountain spur overlooking the valley of the Nam Yao river. Loi Leng, the highest mountain of the Shan Hills, is located 45 km to the southeast of Lashio. The population is made up of mostly Shan, Chinese and Burmans and is currently estimated at around 130,000 inhabitants.
